I began this studio with the vision that every client deserves an artist that will alter themselves to embody the vision of the work at hand. Every tattoo deserves its exception and eternal focus. Everyday we get the chance to send folks through the rest of their life; and into eternity with a memory we created for them! My specific style focuses on black and grey but expands to all tattooing styles.

I started my tattoo journey with nothing more than a desire to learn something new, and found it to be one of the most humbling ways to grow. Although I didn’t have a background in art, I have grown to love & appreciate it being incorporated in my daily life. I love to play a part in making women feel beautiful and powerful along their own journeys of finding themselves and who they are meant to be.

I am Jax Janssen, a proud Member of the MPTS Crew, as well as former co-owner of Maiden Voyage Tattoo’s. I was ecstatic when Kyle reached out to have me act as a consultant, as well as guest artist recruiter for his amazing tattoo  Studio, Mixed Personalities! We worked hard together and created “Bringing the World to Peoria." Offering the shop’s clientele the opportunity to receive gorgeous art from all over the World. No need for a passport, plane ticket, hotel… At Mixed Personalities, we’ve got you COVERED! I also am founder and owner of T.A.T. International, LLC, an online platform connecting Tattoo Artists and Studios all around the World…facilitating connections, showcasing artistic works, cultivating global guest spots, as well as recruitment opportunities exclusively for members of the tattoo community.

I have been an artist my whole life, always being down to try anything creative: drawing, painting, pottery, SFX, crochet, etc. I studied many of these further at ICC, earning my associates in art. My main focus with my art is nature, color, and portraiture. My tattoo designs definitely still reflect my love of nature and color, and I believe it is what I am best at! 

JUNIOR ARTIST

I am a tattoo artist looking to expand into lots of color and uniquely themed pieces! I love to incorperate animals, nature, fantasy, and surrealism into my artwork. As a trans person, I understand the importance of wanting a warm and welcoming space to be yourself, and so I want to extend those values to my clients.

APPRENTICE

​​I have been drawing since I can remember. Drawing inspiration from my Dad who was an illustrator and muralist. I started tattooing while deployed to Afghanistan. I aim to create art that honors tattooing history and my military background. With a focus on American Traditional, and black and gray work, but striving to be balanced in all styles. It's a joy to bring art to life and create a lasting memory for my clients!
